Last week our Managing Director Lee Dawson attended the 30-year anniversary of QEST at Goldsmiths Hall in London. QEST is a charity dedicated to supporting excellence in British craftsmanship. Since 1990 QEST has awarded over £5.2 million to 700 makers. QEST funds the education of talented craftspeople through college courses, apprenticeships, or one-to-one training with master craftspeople. It is a grant giving charity at the forefront of supporting education and excellence in British craftsmanship. Samuel Brothers and Lee are proud support this charity as their activity is close to our company ethos of supporting British Craftmanship.
The venue was the fantastic Goldsmith Hall in London and is the home of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, one of the Twelve Great Livery Companies of the City of London, since 1339. Designed by Philip Hardwick, the current Hall is the third of its kind on this site and its grand rooms make the perfect backdrop for all kinds of events and occasions.
